Digital I/O modules with M12 connections
Siemens has announced that the distributed I/O system ET 200AL has been extended with digital I/O modules with M12 connections.
The product portfolio of the digital I/O modules has been extended with I/O modules with M12 connections. For example, a high-channel digital input module and a digital output module with a max. switching current of 2A are available. The following I/O modules have been released for delivery:
- DI 8x24VDC, 4xM12, DEGREE OF PROTECTION IP67
- DI 16x24VDC, 8xM12, DEGREE OF PROTECTION IP67
- DQ 8x24VDC/2A, 8xM12, DEGREE OF PROTECTION IP67
- DIQ 4+DQ 4x24VDC/0.5A, 4xM12, DEGREE OF PROTECTION IP67

The housing of the I/O module with 4xM12 connection has a width of 30 mm, the housing of module with 8xM12 connection has width of 45 mm.
