Keynote Speeches

There will be state-of-the-industry presentations from some top presenters and very able engineers presenting the facts and demonstrating the systems. We’ve lined up not one, but two Keynote addresses.  PI Chairman Karsten Schnieder will unveil interesting new information about the future direction of our technologies while Simon Keogh, General Manager at Siemens Factory Automation & Control will discuss Industry 4.0, focusing on the requirements to be met before the “digitalisation of automation”, which shape the factories of the future can become a reality.

Industry Applications

Many other presentations include one from Roger Marlow of the Water Industry’s standards body, WIMES, who will be discussing the specification and use of PROFIBUS in the Water Industry, while Bernd Kremer of Softing will be presenting a case study on the use of PROFINET at the assembly line of AUDI in Germany.

Practical Workshops

The Workshops will take delegates through the complete process of setting up and maintaining PROFIBUS and PROFINET networks, from basics through to advanced diagnostics.

The event, supported by a table top exhibition is suitable for a wide variety of experience; from first-time users to those with extensive experience with working systems.
